This article deals with the reasons why contemporary dancers and dance researchers read Rancière and how they interpret or use his texts. Reciprocally, Rancière wrote on dance recently in Aisthesis. It appears that different topics are in common: education and emancipation, community issue, articulation between sensible and politics.

Resumo: Este artigo trata das razões pelas quais dançarinos contemporâneos e pesquisadores em dança leem Rancière e como eles interpretam ou usam seus textos. Ao mesmo tempo, Rancière escreveu sobre a dança recentemente em Aisthesis. Ocorre então que há diferentes tópicos em comum: educação e emancipação, a questão da comunidade e articulação entre o sensível e a política.
