Abstract : This article depicts how readings of Rancière by dancers and dance researchers lay on the historical, cultural, intellectual coincidence between common concerns. Reflections conceived in the dance field echo and develop with readings of Rancière, particularly with his questions of education and more widely of emancipation, with the question of community, or with the link between sensible and politics. Reciprocally, Rancière gives a place to dance art in Aisthesis (2011), building a counter-history of modernity, where movement and bodies take place as the centre of the aesthetic regime of art.
