Ontostats : une ontologie pour aider à l’apprentissage des statistiques
Résumé
The study of statistics constitutes an important difficulty for the undergraduates students. The main causes are an inadequate categorization of the situation and / or a bad identification of the conditions of application of the procedures. By structuring pedagogical resources with an ontology, this project aims to meet a triple challenge: (1) To have a referencing tool to reuse and enrich various teaching resources (3) Facilitate the linking of conceptual and procedural knowledge when exploring the domain through ontology. . (2) Mobilize the community of teaching researchers to describe the field, share practices and evaluate and enrich resources. This will make it possible to envisage the development of an expert system or adaptive learning devices.
During the beyond lab, we worked on the third challenge to identify levers for the mobilization of teachers and experts in the field to enrich the ontology and the educational resources indexed by it. Three levers have been identified: 1) adopting a less technical discourse, 2) focusing communication on the benefits of ontology for the work of teachers and researchers, 3) gamifying contributions to valorise the participation of contributors. Finally, the workshop allowed me to define a new communication strategy about my project.
L’étude des statistiques constitue une difficulté importante pour les étudiants en licence dont les principales causes sont une catégorisation inadéquate de la situation et/ou une mauvaise identification des conditions d’application. En structurant les ressources pédagogiques avec une ontologie, ce projet vise à relever un triple défi : (1) Disposer d’un outil de référencement permettant de réutiliser et d’enrichir des ressources pédagogiques variées. (2) Mobiliser la communauté d’enseignants chercheurs pour décrire le domaine, partager des pratiques et faciliter la réappropriation des ressources. (3) Faciliter la mise en relation des connaissances conceptuelles et procédurales lors de l’exploration du domaine grâce à l’ontologie. Celle-ci permettra d’envisager le développement d’un système-expert ou de dispositifs adaptatifs d’apprentissage
