La educación mediante el viaje. Viagénesis y experiencias de viadolescentes

Abstract : By presenting patterns of education through travelling, this thesis deals with neither an alternative school nor an alternative to school in general, but the conditions of another paradigm of child and teenage traveler. This education does not exist in its emancipatory and creative forms yet because travelling is usually regarded as being the characteristic of the mature and responsible adult who can assume the cost and the risk. Can spending a lot of time in other countries rewire the child’s brain? Reconsidering emancipatory education through the condition of postmodernity and the international mobility, this paper is a critical discourse on education as practised in postmodern economies. It explains the phenomenon of migration and exile, the civilization of perpetual movement: nomads in the postmodern world. A style of travel shapes youth when it invites to experiment the “viagénesis” and to change oneself by transforming the world (Lao Tzu).
