L'entretien dans l'analyse des politiques publiques : un impensé méthodologique ?

Abstract : Lately, French policy analysts have regularly and consentiently used interviews. This is confirmed by the analysis of public action literature, the screening of recent scientific studies, as well as a field study (questionnaires submitted to political science PhDs – 1990-2003 –). When firstly imported/invented, this specialization advocated a concrete analysis of the State. However, when it comes to the empirical argumentation of theories, this becomes problematic in the view of the poor metholodogical reflexivity of the interviews. A contrario, reflecting on a methodology of data production may contribute to dynamically promote the scientific field of public action.
